When you arrive at the Clinic please feel free to park in the car park at the front of the bungalow or directly in front of the building along the main road through the village. The building is wheelchair accessible with a small low grade ramp up to the front door.
You will be greeted by one of our friendly reception staff at the front desk who will help you in if required. You will have a medical history form to complete on your arrival so it would be very helpful to us if you could arrive 10 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment.
Your initial consultation will take about an hour where we will take a detailed history of your complaint and any past medical history, medication you may be taking and lifestyle. If we think we can help, with your permission, a thorough neurological and orthopaedic assessment relating to your complaint will be carried out. Our main aim initially is to assess for signs of any serious conditions and immediate referral would be done to either your GP or relevant specialist.
Also, if we feel you will not benefit from chiropractic treatment referral options will be made to you.
The examination procedures are designed to gain maximum information with the least amount of pain.
We try to explain what we are doing throughout the consultation and encourage feedback from yourselves so we can gain as much information as possible with the tests that we perform. Following the examination we will give you a verbal report explaining what we have found and how we may be able to help you. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to be sure you understand what we have told you about your complaint. We also give you advice about after care to follow at home with regard to exercises and lifestyle changes.
Here at Barham Chiropractic Clinic we take pride in treating you individually. Every person is unique and so are their needs, hence we treat people from all walks of life from infants to the elderly and from amateur sport enthusiasts to top elite athletes.
